They are gorgeous, aren’t they! Their first cousin Bouganvillea climbs 6ft or more and makes a great trellis covering. We are well (enough) right now and enjoying some mid80s lower humidity days before the next 90+ ones arrive! Hope all is well with you and your back is tolerating all the garden work!
They’re native to the southwest and Central America. On Long Island they are sold by Walmart and Home Depot as annuals! They need zone 9 to survive a winter. I just read they will winter over indoors above 60deg.
