I do love Hosta. I’ve had something eat a few here and there. I’m guessing deer, but usually they take a whole bed out. Your garden is looking good. 🙂
The heavy rain and the recent heat have distressed many of the shrubs. Roses have lost all their first bloom. My hydrangeas have sparse blooms – they’re in the same area where I lost the astilbe and buddleia; presumably the same weird winter damage. But the yellow day lilies are blooming continuously!! Happily there is always something that’s flourishing!! (Another life metaphor..?)
Lovely! And no slug or snail attacks.

Deer are the biggest hazard! Long Island has thousands of them, totally happy in suburban yards!

My Annabelle’s are loaded but my Knockout Roses are getting eaten by something. Yes, I think your metaphor is what keeps us going. 🙂
