Lovely. I noticed I have one day lily blooming and except for Sedum that is it. How do you like the Montauk Daisy? I’ve been giving them a really hard look because they still look good this time of year.
Montauks are prolific around here, hardy, and bloom reliably when everything else is fading. I have had them for years, but never so few blooms as this year. In this property, the existing ones get too much sun, and scorched in the 90deg weather. In partial shade they do fine. I love the persistent blooming of the dwarf yellow day lilies, which tolerate drought and sun, and bloom from June until hard frost. Like Laurie Graves, I am also increasingly keen on begonias!
Was going to ask about Montauk daisies, but I see Judy beat me to it. They were really standing out around here begging to be noticed prior to the hard frost.

Such happy flowers! None on your posts have shown up in my Reader which is frustrating…..

I guess you should unfollow and follow again! Happy Thanksgiving to you all. Hope the little ones are flourishing despite the smoke!
