June and July have been hot and dry, so many people have headed to the beaches or the lakes.

A local like myself, although I love the water, stays away from the tourists and the traffic. π We’ve had over a week of 90+ and high humidity. At the beach that is good, but at home it is pretty darn hot. Hope your temps are maybe a little more temperate and all is well with you and your family.

On LI weβve had humid 90s too. Marian and I spent 5d in NH visiting old friends. Traffic was awful around NYC but not otherwise. NH Lakes were beautiful; we did Winnipesaukee-round on a Sat and loved it – coffee in Meredith and lunch in Wolfboro. Fri lunch with friends at Gilmanton Winery, Sunday major reunions at the Community Church! Lots of Jordans ice cream! Nice break, tho itβs getting harder for Marian to cope with hotels that are not handicap-friendly. Hope you had a good Fourth- our first as citizens!!

It sounds like you made a tour of the lakes area and got to see your old friends. That is terrific. I would think more hotels would want to be handicap accessible as people our age do a lot of traveling and gravitate towards comfortable hotels. We have even found those two story hotels with no elevator to be more than we want to navigate. Congrats on your first 4th of July as citizens. ππΊπΈπ
