The 4th of July is past, and summer moves on in the flower beds. Pale pink Astilbe, Coneflower, New Guinea Impatiens, Begonia, purple Petunia all add to the changing palette. Hydrangea struggle to bloom after being cut back too far last Fall, but Forsythia rejoices in being cut back late this June.
Your neighborhood is looking quite beautiful. Our hydrangea are just now blooming. I do love the color of July. Hope life is going well for you and yours. 🙂

Thanks, Judy. We are happy to be back on Long Island among many friends, who are a great support as Marian’s health deteriorates. July weather has been nice so far!

I am very sorry to hear about anyone’s health deteriorating, but I guess when we reach this age bracket we all deal with it to some extent. My best wishes for Marian and for you.

Thanks again, Judy. The trouble with inherited neuro-degenerative conditions is that they progress with age… But Marians spirit is great even if her legs are not!

Glad that you’ve settled back well but sorry to hear Marion’s struggling with her health. Sadly, as we get older things don’t improve for us but worsen.

Thanks, Pauline. Age creeps up on us and bodies don’t work so well anymore! Best wishes to you both!
